Grading and Drainage

Grading & drainage problems are often caused by one of two things: either the engineer failed to properly sample and test the soil before construction, or the general contractor didn’t follow the engineer’s plan. When land is not graded, leveled, or sifted properly, it allows water to drain towards instead of away from the building. As a result, water often pools in parking lots and at the backs of buildings, which can lead to expensive damage that goes unnoticed for years.
